I've been in the habit of checking all the ingredients in my makeup, creams, serums, and face washes for the last few years after having a bad experience. I bought a jar of intensive moisturizing cream from my most trusted skincare line. Since they promise to be allergy-tested I had always trusted that the products would be in line with my restrictions. But when my skin turned bright red, puffy, and broke into hives a few minutes after putting the cream on I knew something was wrong. I pulled out the info pamphlet and scanned the ingredients. Sure enough, milk was one of the first ingredients on the list.

Lipstick in Merlot is a rich blue-tone red. Orange tone reds completely disagree with my skintone, so the cool hue of this shade was very complimentary. When I had a glass of water after applying nothing wiped off on the rim so that was a testament to the staying power of the color. You won't be reapplying every time you take a bite or sip of something.
